Empowering Women, or just “Special Women”?

I have recently stumbled upon an email going around to "special women" in support of a female running for Bradley Beach council. I recently met this woman and would love to know more about her specifically, because I want a revamp in this town. I think I am pretty open about the change that I want here.

This event is also run by people on the alliance of which I am a member, sooooo ahemmm, where's my invitation? Do we want all women supporting women, or are we continuing a divide here in town? Does this already speak to who this candidate aligns with? So many questions?

This invitation includes that this candidate will help Main street. Well, ok, the alliance, I get it. But is this part of the "initiative" for Main Street Councilman Bonnell just mentioned? And what about every other woman who is affiliated with a business on Main St. that didn't get an invitation? Support females in business, or just some females in business? Do only some businesses get support just like only some houses get the variances? Do only some special people get an invitation just like some get a special third floor, back house, or second story back deck? HMMMMMMM

I also have noticed that there are women invited to this event who don't even vote in Bradley Beach. So, insulted I am, along with many other women in town whom I know are not only part of the alliance, but are special women too, and in general, should NOT be excluded either. Why would people be invited if they don't even vote here; for a BB campaign event? Is it that they know people who do vote here? Are they an impactful influence on people who vote here? But why leave so many out? Why leave out members of the alliance?

I'm getting a sense here people, a big BIG sense. Just tack it onto all my other thoughts and questions. Just here being a proud Bradley Beach-loving resident who is fighting the good fight for the truth! and now unity too. :(

See you in the Sand, or maybe you sit on another beach.
